I can't figure out what I am doing wrong.
The problem is to find the plane tangent to the surface
2e3ycos(2x) - z = 0
at the point (pi/3,0,-1).
This is what I come up with:
-2(sqrt3)x+(2pi(sqrt3))/3-3y-z+1=0
Here are the partial derivatives I used to get it:
fx= -2sqrt(3)
fy= -3
fz= -1
When I enter the answer I have above, it tells me:
The coefficients of x, y, z in your equation are correct, but not the constant term. This means your plane is parallel to the one we want but does not pass through (pi/3,0,-1).
Can anyone help?
