a poster at trackandfieldnews.com gave a link to a bbc article where carl lewis says performance enhancing drugs should be illegal, i agree since the cheating athlete is stealing money from the clean athletes, or even if the athletes are not competing for money, it is fraud. i think jail sentences might deter (but will no way stop cheating) sometime. but i believe their should be a very strong reason to believe the person is guilty. not be like a lot of posters here do saying that if anathlete ran fast they have to be on drugs. or if an athlete improves it must be drugs, also i think if a female athlete uses steroids and later has a kid born with a deformity, which was greatly enhanced by the steroid use it should be considered child abuse.
