Yeah, and they were pulled out of the car and not resisting. They definitely deserved to have their Constitutionally protected rights violated by being kicked and punched repeatedly by several armed officers.
They do have rights, or did you forget that?
"We don't know if these males apprehended were the actual shooters or where at the location at the time of the shooting."

No where in the article does it say they complied with the police officers. Also, it doesn't say they didn't comply, but you can't be certain that they were. That being said, if they weren't complying and were resisting then the officers had every right to do what they did.

Did you watch the video? Did you???????????
They were restrained and lying on the ground. Cops were beating and kicking the hell out of them while they were restrained. One guy was getting kicked and punched while handcuffed and had 2 cops sitting on him. One was hit with batons over 20 times. You see anything wrong with that?
Since you're such a genius, go tell the Police Chief he was wrong for suspending 6 of the officers involved and saying their conduct was "inexcuseable."

It's you on one side and Philly's mayor and police chief on the other. They said just this morning on GMA that what the cops did was wildly out of line.
Your sneer seems to presume that the cops, when they feel like it, should lower their behavior to the level of the suspects they're arresting. Really? I thought superior policing consisted of keeping a cool head, using all NECESSARY and WITHIN-THE-REGULATIONS force, and treating every apprehended suspect with civility. Aren't police supposed to keep order, not create disorder?
Jeez. Go back to sleep.
That's awesome...That's like watching Grand Theft Auto in real life...Serves 'em right...

they most certainly do not. what they did was immoral and illegal. they weren't even sure at the time if these people WERE the shooters! and once you start getting the crap beat out of you of course you are going to start resisting...ESPECIALLY if you didn't even do anything to begin with!!!
i hate how everyone thinks the military and police get a free pass just because they are supposed to serve our country. when they do their job they are admirable and selfless people and i couldn't commend that any more. but i've seen some of the worst slime on the face of the planet sign up for the army because they like shooting things, or sign up for the police academy because they like to be dominant (NOT because they are trying to protect the public good).
what these officers did is an evil in and of itself. even if the arrested folk are murderers, they still are human beings, and their beating is another crime atop of the previous one. two wrongs do not make a right, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, etc. trite but true.
The police are always right!
I'm usually all for cops beating the shit out of a group of thugs but honestly a lot of that looked alittle ridiculous. Now Rodney King deserved his whooping though.
