I've been running for years and always have shin splints. I think it might be due to pronation. I've always been told I have a normal pronation. However usually the doctor will ask me to walk 10 paces to make this assessment. I think my gate is normal in this situation, but when I get tired (for example, after 30min of running) my muscles tire and my foot collapses in causing overpronation. When I'm well into a run, I can feel the pressure increasing on the inside of my ankle and arch. Anyone have this problem and know of a good running shoe to combat it?
