While I am certainly impressed with the Hawks' performance and tenacity the past two games, this is the NBA. The better team wins the series like 99% of the time (well, not really but pretty damn close). Did the Celtics destroy the Hawks the first two games? Yes. Have the Hawks played better than the Celtics the past two games? Yes. Are the Hawks better than the Celtics? Of course not. The Celtics will likely blow out the Hawks in the next game, followed by a much closer game back in Atlanta - with the Celtics coming out on top.
I'm waiting for the unofficial Hawks thread. I don't feel I can adequately express my views in an official thread.
This is exactly like the Warriors over the Mavericks last year, Hawks are going to do it! NBA will hate to see that happen, so much for good ratings.
I'll admit this blew my mind. The best team in the NBA vs the worst playoff team (going in) & the series is tied. Who'd have thought
The winner of game 5 takes it
im more suprised about the 76ers and pistions series
With Detroit and Boston struggling more than they should be, perhaps the Cavs can sneak into the finals again and maybe win a game this time.

I love Mike Bibby.
That said, Atlanta is done. Sad but true.

The Cavs don't have to do any sneaking. After they put away the stupidest team in the history of the NBA (Washington Wizards) they will be ready for Boston or Atlanta. All they have to do is stay close for 3 1/2 quarters and Lebron will win the game for them with a bucket or assist.
It's nice to see that the Atlanta fans have jumped on the bandwagon just in time. Seriously, is there a worse sports town than ATL? They can't even sell out World Series games at Turner Field. Nobody shows up at a Hawks game all year, then all of a sudden they are in the playoffs and people come out of hibernation. It's nice that they tasted success for a brief period of time. The Hawks have about as much chance of winning this series as I do running a 2:15 in Eugene on Sunday.
the hawks will win the series...dont you remember the golden state dallas series last year??

Actually yes, I do remember that series; however, the '07-'08 Celtics are a much better overall team than the '06-'07 Mavericks, while the '07-'08 Hawks are not on par with the '06-'07 Warriors.
I am not a Celtics fan, but I don't think the Hawks have much of shot of winning at the Garden (Version 2.0) in Game 5 or Game 7 (if necessary). The Hawks' play the past two games has been impressive, but their immaturity (basketball-wise and behavior) is going to catch up with them. It usually does in the NBA. They certainly have a bright future.
All I can do is thank the basketball gods that David Stern extended the first round to 7 games...
HAWKINS!
Atlanta Hawks are young and stupid!!!! They have no class. Bunch of guys with some confidence that will be shattered tonight!
