I have to slow down a little more for the malt liquor variety as it tends to foam up more.
I don't know how it affects people's running but I heard it turns people into jackasses who love taking letsrun.com arguments way too far.
The knowledge that there is a cold beer waiting for me at the end of my training session helps considerably.
The likelihood that there might be a lack of beer at the end of my run could have an adverse affect.

A few beers a week will not significantly hinder you training. I usually have one or two after a hard workout or race to reward myself and because I'm going easy the next morning. Now if you drink one or two every night, or ten in a night like some of my teamates in college, that's different.
