Someone sat on a goose...and they're off!
Deriba Merga could be this year's Goumri. Not only has he run 27:02 for 10km, he did so in 2007, so he hasn't lost that speed.
A wierd noise startled Lel and he took off prematurely, and the entire field followed. The officials are trying to call them back.
Go to mlb.com and then to wcsn.com. See if it works.
London is the world's best marathon because of the emphasis on charity fundraising, according to one announcer.
ok so are they going to give us splits?
Pacemakers wearing what look like Foot Locker singlets. Ramaala his trademark bandanna. Hall the only one wearing shades.
when i click to watch, it brings me to the Upcoming Events on WCSN page. ???
Can't see Goumri in the frontgroup
catherine, go to the main wcsn page. Don't follow the links.
Small lead group for the men. No one else even tried to keep up for a few miles.
The broadcast is doing a very poor job at giving mile splits.
go to the homepage and click on the london marathon picture along the bottom. then click on watch...that should take you to the login. not sure why it's not working if you've tried that,
Announcer questions the elite women's math skills - he thinks the slow opening mile will throw off their sense of pace and cause them to push too hard early and then crash.
His partner confuses Ryan Hall for Baldini, who's nowhere in sight.
Did he just mix up Baldini with Hall?
i went to the main page. nada. i'm beginning to feel really retarded. i watch stuff all the time on wcsn. is it the early morning brain? what the crap!?
I wonder if Wanjiru will try for a world record?
Is gouhmri the one in the black running on the right side of the screen? Limo, Kibet, Sammy W, Hall, Baldini, Ramaala, Lel all definitely up there, looks like only 8 in the lead pack, disregarding the two pacers.
Looks like a fast pace, but no splits yet. 11 in the lead pack. Couple of pacers in the front. Seems as though they did not waste any time as the pace looks fast. Hall sitting at the back of the pack. Pack somewhat spread out at there are maybe 10 meters covering the 11.
