Womens race about to start!
Womens race about to start!
Large field for the women. 2 minutes in.
weather looks nice.
"Gete Wami looks chipper; Berhane Adere just cold." (BBC)
First mile in nearly 6:30?
6 minutes in. nothing really happening yet. 6:13 first mile. pacemaker picks up duties.
Bunch of white girls in the lead.
No official pacemakers, according to the broadcast team.
Pace picking up now. Not sure why I'm commentating as I'm sure everyone is watching it anyway.
Adere and Wami chillin' in the lead pack.
Still it is cool to look over a race updates thread after the race and see how it developed.

Too bad. I suppose that's why there was a 6:13 first mile.
2nd mile in 5:41.
I'm not really a fan of the split start type of thing. I like it better when everyone starts together.
number 133 gots it going on from the rear!
5:08 third mile, better.
5:08 3rd mile?
