It would be impressive, particularly if your wife is in labor.
Hey, Herschel Walker, what have you been up do since retiring from the NFL?
If you can do 10.5 and 4:30, you're a world-class decathlete. Bryan Clay's bests are 10.36 and a 4:38 1500. He won silver at Athens and gold at Helsinki. I'm sure he can run faster than a 4:38 1500 since he probably only runs a 1500 at the end of a decathlon.

and what about the 8 other events? there's a bit more to it than the running events!
erm . . . . . wrote:and what about the 8 other events? there's a bit more to it than the running events!Right. Let me amend that to "you're could be a world-class decathlete". The point is that 10.5/4:30 is very, very hard to do.
What's your weekly mileage?
Was this on a "real" (certified) track? I don't mean to be harsh about your 1500, but letsrun regulars will recall a 4-minute mile video that made the rounds a while ago...turned out to be 4 laps of a ~350-meter track...
Anyway, it sounds like you're a pretty versatile athlete -- keep it up!
Who the f*** has a 350 meter track?
if you can run a legitimate 10.5 and 4.30 then you could bench press 50lb max for all I care, you are one hell of an athlete, that's the top and bottom of it.
I wasn't that fast, but I had a PR of 11.2, benched 385, and ran 3:58.6 for 1500 in back in my heyday.
