hi all,
any advice/comments is appreciated
in january i had a sports hernia repair and had just started normal runing 3 weeks ago when i hurt my knee.... i fell on a run slipped on ice.... bad luck huh?
i had an mri on monday and it said this:
there is a complex tear involving the posterior horn of the medial meniscus which includes a horizontal oblique cleavage tear which communicates with the inferior articular surface. in addition there is a radial tear component which extends into the central tibial atachment. associated with the tear of the central tibial attachment is a parameniscal cyst measuring 1.2cm. the cyst contains several small septations.
what does all this mean? is it bad??
im a distance runner at D1 school who has a 414 mile pb and is currently a freshman redshirt.
i am due to have knee arthroscopy next week so any advice is much apprecaited.
thank you
