I'm thinking a lot of top runners under-achieved, or just took it a little softer than hard, not that that's a good idea, but look at Weber State's seniors and Wisconsin not running their top dogs, the season is yet young. As for Bei, there are much better pictures of her, nice profile, but I'm getting tired of this link.
If he stays in one piece, Super Ry is going to be hard to beat on the track (and may shock a few in XC-he was 3rd at Footlockers his senior year). He has what it takes to be great-talent, drive, guts to take races out, and an incredible ability to handle pain. He is still looking, I think, to find a balance between training hard and over training.
I really hope this will be a breakout year for Hall. He was injured last year all through track season, and I hope he gets the success he deserves.
Yeah, once Ryan Hall puts it together he will be tough. What\'s more, he is a really cool and humble guy. I hope he totally tears it up this year.
Drew, I agree. If Ryan can stay healthy, he\'ll be a major force once track stats. I wish him the best.

Were you at the Jim Ryun Running Camp this August?

Drew just likes the sound of Hall's last name.
;)
(I hope he does well, too. A class act.)
Good to see Hall get up. Time to get on the white horse and ride.
Yeah, I was. How bout you?

Great follow up article on Stanford's weekend. It looks like their freshman are/will be awesome.

.....Forgot to say that Ian Dobson may be a real darkhorse this year.
?I have really increased my mileage,? Dobson said.
?I did five or six weeks over 100 miles this summer. It feels like I am in the best shape ever.?
powell...biggest stanford dissapointment?
Daniel-
Cool to see Super Ry drop the hammer early, huh? So how is your season going? Sara Bei's parents were just in town. They said both Ryan and Sara's races were awesome last weekend.
are ryan and sara dating or something, that's the impression that i get.
this might be the first Ryan Hall thread since he got stanford where he hasn't been bashed.
I am not trying to bash anyone, I just have a legitimate question. What is the purpose of running college runners in a 4K race? Almost all high school races, even for girls, are longer than this. Is it to just guage fitness or is it for some speed work? Anybody have a good reason for a race that is less than 2.5 miles when the championship races are more than 6? I honestly just don't know the reason and was wondering.
stanford opted to fall in line with international cross country competition (sort of). at the world cross country championships, they offer a 4k and 12k race for the senior men.
Thanks
