With this talk about Hart and Wariner, I was wondering if other coaches charge their "professionals" and how much. I know it may not be as much as Wariner, but if Schumacher charges 10% or a couple guys making $100k a year, it's some nice side money on top of their college salaries.
Any other coaches salaries people know about?
If Jerry was doing it for the money he would be at Cal.
If he is getting kicked some pro monies as well as all the bonuses through the University AND PROBABLY MOST IMPORTANTLY, CAN JUST COACH (NO PAPERWORK, ALUMNI, TRACK) beacuse he is only assistant track coach, then he is doing great.
Cal and the cost of living was a worse deal than what he has going on at Madison.
Do those guys pay him?

If you make 15000 or more, you should pay your coach 5-10%. Agents are charging 20% now and coaches do a heck of a lot more than agents for 95% of American distance runners.
What pro coaches are out there? Hudson, Salazar, Gags, Henner, Chapman.
i remember reading an article a few years ago when alan webb turned pro, and it says his contract pays for his travel ect, for school, and 20k for coach rackzo.

Schumacher has a comfy existence there in Badgerland.
Made over $100k from the school and another $10-30k from pro athletes.
Another reason Vin is the man; he has his hand in everything - he practically runs USA Track & Field.
I have a few friends down in Eugene that have said Ritz doesn't pay Hudson. I know, I know that sounds stupid as I don't really beleave it either.

It's not completely unreasonable. If Hudson is getting business from foolish duffers like us because he's Ritz's coach, that's compensation for sure. It's why companies pay to advertise in the media.
