Congratulations to all who made the RT Masters rankings! And to all who didn't but think they should have too :-)
I was injured most of December. Taking 3 weeks off completely seems to have translated into a loss of almost 3 months of training. I remember when it would only take me a week or two to get into solid shape. All the more reason to be very careful about developing injuries, I guess.
I'm ramping up pretty quickly so that I'll have a shot at a late Spring marathon (though I'm backing off every time I feel a twinge somewhere). Did 103 miles this week with a short tempo run (4M) and a long one (15M, today).
That included one double. May add a second one this coming week. The second run of the day usually feels funny at the start: I'm tired, but the leg muscles also feel relatively warmed up already. As someone else posted, it depends on how used you were to doing doubles in previous years, and how much benefit you felt they added. On a regular basis, I've never done more than 2 per week, and I don't intend to go beyond that now.
