In my opinion when someone comes on here and asks a question like that then a respected person in the running community takes time to make a very helpful response like David Monti and the original poster only responds with"I don't need a training plan and I don't care who you are that replies I am just interested in some opinions."Then, like others have pointed out, he is either a troll or major a$$hole . I can't run 2:16 but am not jealous of people that can. But I don't have much respect for people that show a lack of respect for others.

And the jealousy comes out. Seriously the guy has a point, people love coming on here and saying "This is what I did to break 17:30" and stuff, but everyone gets all defensive when a fast dude comes on here looking for help. News flash, being fast doesn't mean you have all the answers to what it takes to get to the next level (whatever that level may be). There is definitely a lot of resentment toward fast guys who look for training advice, and as someone who is neither particularly fast nor looking for advice myself I don't have any reason to be biased.
