How can anyone bounce back this quickly from a world record marathon and set another?! Maybe he's just trying to hype things up to justify his appearance fee.

If he does it will be the most impressive. Either he is going for the money or he really feels he can break the record. Assuming he will run at the olympics he will have ~7 months to get ready and will have a great opportunity to win gold. If he waits until April to run London then he only has 4 months to get ready. This way we will have a little break before focusing on the olympics. Makes it so he will be able to run some road/track races before also.

If you've only woken up to the fact that Geb runs on quite a bit more than training and WHEATIES now, on the verge of 2008, you're slower than a retarded snail on Thorazine.
Then what is Ryan Hall on? Because he is less talented, has much less speed, and ran an uncontested 59:4x 1/2 marathon debut, better than (I think) Geb's debut at the distance. And that was after a fairly up and down college career. So if Geb is juiced to the gills and can only just crack 59:00 after all the years of trying, what the hell is Hall on where he can go 59:4x with ease, with no rabbits, with a 10k pr well over a minute slower than Geb's, on his FIRST try???
Must be some goooood shit.
I like how you imply that Ryan Hall is above any and all suspicion. It's because he's a nice looking white boy from the USA, right?
Helloooo?! Do you remember the 70s? Or were you even born then? The world class marathon studs would knock out 5-6 marathons a year.
Interesting leap of logic, comparing the sport as it existed in the '70's to what it is today.

Ryan Hall is "above any and all suspicion", because he is obviously a solid Christian. In case you are incredibly ignorant (which seems to be very possible), most a our ethics and morals, on which almost our entire legal system is based, came from ancient Hebrew literature, also known as the Bible or the Holy Word of God. Therefore, Hall, as a solid Christian, would understand that cheating is morally wrong. So that is probably why almost no one suspects Hall of juicing. He is raw talent. And a lot of it.
although you're joking let me add that Ethiopians can also be good Christians.
Of course. Anyone can be a "good" Christian. But how many Ethiopians are as vocal about their faith as Ryan Hall? And does Ryan Hall have the motivation to cheat like they do? They have a family, possibly an entire village to provide for if they have the money. Ryan Hall has Sarah. And that makes him one lucky, lucky man by the way.
I think alot of christrians some of the famous well known preachers on TV and all over media are infact the ones getting caught cheating, divorcing, or ending up being gay. So only God examines and knows someone's heart. Now let me not be superspritual and come back to earth and educate you guys. You see in the running world, it's not considered cheating to juice up because everyone is doing it so in order to compete with top guys you have to so that justifies it. Other wise just run for health and concentrate on something else in life. In compition you are not going I mean you are not going to win a single thing unless you use something. So if you are not convicted about it, its not wrong to do it for you. Your logic is hey everyone is doing it. It's is not a fair world the system is messed up so God will waive it for me and understand that I have no choice. I work my butt off and I lack is a little juice to be up there with the Kenyans or Ethiopians. It's like how can you tell all these ilegals to go back to mexico before you fix the system and update these outdated immigration laws. Well before you tell me not juice up make sure everyone in my race is not juicing up and I tell you what that's pretty hard to do because money is the root of all evil. These drug companies want to make money so they come up with something new all that time you can't catch. Great the point here is You can be a christian and not feel as if you cheated or committed a sin as long as you aren't convicted. God bless you all. Everything I wrote here is how most runners think that's their mentality. So I don't personally like to judge people. But if GEB or RYAN is juicing or not only God knows. But if you ask me to judge just this time I will do you a favor. EVERYONE JUICES AND DRINKS JUICE there is no other way. If juicing wasn't there best 10K times would have been more like 26:55 or 27:05 or even slower, just the way they are in Olympics and world championships aha. You realize the fastest times are in some other races.
Hey f*** you man. I'm not an attention hog. You're just a fat bum who can't run. I'll get that record in Dubai.

Love your reasoning there bud.
By your reasoning, Gebrselassie should be above any and all suspicion as well, since he is also a Christian.
Why don't we just make a list of all Christian athletes, for future reference. This will be just so we know, if their name comes under any scrutiny, that they are completely clean and we will be able to promptly drop the matter.
snooooooooooooooooooooooooooore,whew, snoooooooooore,whew

What about Jon Edwards? Maybe now that he's an atheist, he's gone back in time and put drugs in the toothpaste of his younger Christian self?

you are probably trolling, but if not....what a load of crap. How many priests were more well-versed in the "Holy Word of God" than just about anyone, but yet that did not stop them from raping little boys, now did it?? So much for your "logic."
Being a good Christian on the surface(no one but Hall knows what he does every second of every day) and talking a lot about God means jack-shit about what type of person you are. Now I am not accusing Hall in the least, I am just saying: Hall being a Christian doesn't mean a damn thing to me as far as whether or not he is a cheater, and secondly, there is just as much of a reason to accuse Hall as there is to accuse Geb.

Right, and being highly vocal about something makes them entirely sincere. Tell that to Rafael Palmiero or Marion Jones. Ted Haggard, too. I wondered how long it would be before some speed-goggles addled dweeb would find a way to weasel his lust for Hall's wife into the discussion.
Any runner who runs 2:06, 2:05, 2:06 then 2:04 (eliminating the runs at London, which seems to be a "unlucky course" for him), is definitely NOT on the downward spiral.
I think that he has quite a few more chances left to go sub 2:04.
ALSO, if I may be so bold as to say this, I don't think that he is 34 either. Some Kenyans agree with me here, and yes I think that he is closer to 40.
Jos Hermans is simply trying to hype the event, the Dubai Marathon, to maintain good relations with the organizer. I see Haile winning it in about 2:07.
have you ever talked to werknesh kidane? she always brings up her belief in god. example a reporter ask her a question after a rare race she loses, her response would be god loves all his children equally and it was gods will my opponent won this time, i am content regardless of the result. she goes to church 7 days a week when she is in axum ethiopia.
about ethiopians cheating extremely unlikely, most are ridiculously poor about 100 usd a YEAR, the ones that have money geb k.bekele, t.dibaba, defar, were all poor and became great runners, so if they can become the best in the world without drugs there is no reason to use drugs since they got to the top without it.

Yeah, like Lee Haney and Ronnie Coleman, who have 16 Mr. Olympias between them and certainly never ever slammed a needle into their own asscheeks.
Remind me where again Jesus said "don't use steroids or other performance enhancing drugs, especially if your competitors are."
Welcome to the real world, kiddies.
