Is binge eating once in a while good for your metabolism and overall health?

dude, I've been running 90-100mpw for the last few weeks now and I feel like I've been binge eating every dinner, I mean I probably consume 2000-3000 calories after 6pm. I hate myself for it, and I'm still not as fit as i wish to be. My stomach is always bulging out and my legs have become more flabby, but I just can't diet when I'm at home for winter break and running that much. It's probably not good for you but don't feel bad about doing it man. I got myself into this mess by feeling bad about eating too much since I'm a bigger guy(6'3") to begin with. I'd see these skinny ass guys running fast but now I know my body just isn't meant for that. It rebelled when I dropped under 160lbs and now I always feel fat cuz of running. F*** running.
Don't call me dude. I bet your favorite movie of 2007 is Superbad.

Of course it is. I could eat 5,000 calories a day and not gain any weight. Morphine and cocaine, on the other hand, are bad for you.
Sorry, didn't read your screen name. Actually it's No Country For Old Men, good guess though...
i hope you're not serious and this is just a play on yesterday's pot smoking retardation...
I'm serious, what threw you off was the 2000-3000 calories after 6pm comment, that came off slightly awkward. What I meant was that after having a normal size breakfast and lunch I pound food like crazy, many times to the point of extreme discomfort with my total calorie count most likely going way over what I need for the day.
in terms of calorie count, yes, however, its not considered binge eating if you are metabolising it at a fast rate. also, binge eating would insinuate a forcing of food on the body. if your body is asking for food at that cal count, it is not considered a binge
