my experience has been very good. i went a handful of times 2004, 2005. i actually have an appointment coming up for refurbishment over this holiday break.
for most of college, i had a pair of orthodics from a podiatrist that overcompensated and the result was chronic shin splints and a couple of tibial stress fracturues. post collegiate, i had her evaluate the pair i had, and went through the process of eventually getting new ones that solved my shin splint issues and i eventually ran a 6s PR in the 1500 and 26s track 5k PR because i finally was able to train more consistently.
what i appreciated was that cheryl won't try to shove you in a pair of orthodics if not necessary. her approach with me was to try to find an appropriate shoe and see if that solves the problem first. the next step was to craft orthodics that worked with the shoe and not just create a rigid "cast" operated indepently from the shoe.
i couldnt tell you if it's right for you, but at the very least, i would say it's definitely worth your time and money to have an evaluation done and take it from there. i haven't been back there, like i said, since spring of 2k5.
