4 runners have been announced so far for the doha qatar marathon on january 18th 2008, geb who will try to break his own record, benoit Z co holder of the european record, lornah kiplagat and berhane adere. several runners like kk, felix limo and others have said geb is not as good when it is a marathon, i say why not enter the race and give him competition.
It will all depend on the wind. The bike race Tour of Qatar was rather disappointing because the wind caused such problems. A few days were a fight just not to be blown over let alone attack. If any one can do it thought it is Geb.
