I live in Cali, and i just bought a car in WV. I'm trying to arrange shipping right now. Anybody ever done anything similar? If so, how long did it take you.

Check out this site. www.uship.com There is an estimater on there that will let you know about how much it would cost.
This whole thing is a NIGHTMARE!!! Once they pick it up it'll take like 10 days, NO Biggie. The problem is getting a truck to pick it up. According to them that could take as much as a month. RIDICULOUS!!! Anybody ever been in a similar predicament
I bought an elliptical on ebay and used uship to deliver from virginia to texas. There are thousands of shippers on uship, you post an ad of where you live and what you want shipped. I had several bidders but the one I went with spelled out exactly when he would be here...granted it was 3 weeks but he said that upfront, worked out great and it was pretty cheap.
Christmas break is coming up, why don't you spend part of your vacation flying out there and then driving back across the country?
skinny runner arms don't flap fast enough.
My girlfriend paid a service to have someone drive her car from Southern California to her Dad's house in Wisconsin. These services match people who need to send their car without driving it themselves with people who need to travel but hate flying. Like John Madden, but without the bus.
Anyway, this Australian guy gets about 2 or 3 hours from her Dad's house, and the thing gets totaled by a deer. Not really his fault, and he had already made it about 2-3 thousand miles by that point, but still. Caveat emptor.
I did this years ago. Had the first model year of a Mazda RX-7.The car was cherry. Shipped from RI to Bremerton, WA. via a moving company. What a mess!!! Boxes fell on the car, the paint was rubbed off where the straps secured it in the trailer and they drove it around after they unloaded it.
Just another life learning experience...
