I just got done taking some time off from a fairly successful cross country season. I was under 25 minutes in the 8k and didn't have an pains or anything what so ever. I am still in college and I took about a week off before starting up training again. Ever since that week off, Ive been having some sharp pains right below my knee cap whenever I bend my knee.
At first, I figured this was just your typical "couple days getting back in the grove of things" sort of pain, but its been a week and a half doing anything from 6-14 milers and it is still causing pain. It seems like it loosens up some during runs. And after, it seems like it tightens up. As of now, I can still run through so I will.
Any idea what it is and best ways to treat it. Thanks
