PR vs. Mayfly: PR is alot lighter. Both wear out quickly.
I've never run in either but I know a guy who has run in both and he liked the PR's better.
Haven't worn the PR, but the Mayfly has a lot more cushion than you would expect. I wore them for a HM and had absolutely no problems. More cushion and lighter than the streak XC. Very little support, but if you are efficient, they are a great road 10k-HM shoe. They are a bit soft for the 5k in my opinion. Not as responsive as I like for shorter distances.
Mayflys aren't bad, but I agree that they're much too soft. The midsole is kind of clunky as well, and the upper is hardly anything at all. I would go with the PRs... they seem like less of a novelty shoe.
