Virginia Tech isn't a strong academic university.
I believe their Engineering School is ranked 5th in the country. While there are parts of the school that do drag on the overall rankings, there are parts that are better than most Ivy league institutions.
Also, looking at the coming World Wars we will be fighting for natural resources, Virginia tech also looks like a good recruiting ground for future officers.
Most of the kids at UVA, William&Mary, the Ivies, Washington, Duke, UNC, BC, and BU will be lucky to get drafted. Its nice knowing my future enlisted personnel. Just wanted to take this chance to check up on how you guys were doing-
Don't get thrown into any Halliburton Camps for civil disobedience in the meantime, wouldn't want someone with a record like that in my unit. BTW, civil disobedience will include disagreeing with the central government on an internet message board.
-Virginia Tech has the 3rd highest number of Medal of Honor recipients
-Virginia Tech was the first University in the World with a high speed internet/intranet connecting all of its facilities and databases.
-Virginia Tech's labs are at the forefront of renewable energies and aerospace technologies.
-Many Virginia Tech alumni go on to work in high levels of government agencies, NASA, and government contractors, in addition to military service.
-Virginia Tech boasts one of the highest recruitment levels for the FBI and CIA, far higher than any Ivy league institution or Stanford.
I'm sure most of the Virginia Tech alumni, appreciate your candid responses on and about Virginia Tech, and they'll be sure to remember them.
Have a nice day, and be sure to enjoy all of your civilian days while they last. Carry on.
