NAIA RANKINGS ARE CRAP!!!

Well winning a meet doesn't mean you deserve to move up, depending on what kind of competition was there. And I would not even be concerned about regional rankings anyways. And I didn't see any teams that dropped from 3rd in any region to 10th in the past week. Unless you meant they were ranked 3rd at some point in the season and now are 10th. I did just quickly look over the rankings and maybe I missed it, but i didn't notice any huge drops.

I think the only team ranked 3rd that even dropped was Cedarville (ohio), and they only moved to 4th. So i am curious to see who this mystery team even is. And i wouldn't get too excited about having 5 guys under 27, maybe 5 guys under 26.

I would have to agree. There arent any teams who dropped that much...unless the coach did not submit race reports! If a team races and the coach doesnt submit race reports, then they are not allowed to be ranked.

But you have to be top 25 to get there and RANKINGS DO MATTER YOU dorks... Look at it you HAVE TO BE ranked top 25 to go to Nationals so RANKINGS DO MATTER idiots.

Also if you look very closely at the rankings of both the men and women in the NAIA you will notice alot of inconsistent stupid stuff the rankers must be idiots. One week in regional rankings a team is three then eighth because they did not race and then 3rd again etc... Thats crap you do not drop teams just because they take a week off. Its really stupid crap!

Really, so you don't want to work hard anymore and just bank on rankings to qualify? Nice attitude you have.

He may have a point there are some inconsistencies in regional rankings ... I saw more on the womens side but who is to say their coach put in race reports on their rest weekends or just did not send anything in... (not that a coach should have to submit something to say we did not race this weekend) But I think this guy may have a small point here...

And I did notice the Mens rankings came out and then were changed about an Hour later... whats the deal with that?

Malone is good, but unfortunately VIC from any of those 3 years would kick the shit out of any team again this year. And I really don't like VIC at all, but its nice that they are gone.

VIC would have demolished Malone. VIC had 3 guys under 25 and the rest of the team were at low 25. So, how can you say that Malone would have killed VIC. VIC had a one two punch that no one had. Malone is good but inferior to VIC. So, just to tell you VIC would have killed every team in the NAIA with no problem. They had so many guys on the reserve team that they would have been winning every year. So dont hate VIC all they did was run hard and win.

Okay, here is your problem. Race reports MUST be submitted within 24 hours or they are late and are not to be considered for rating. Unless you ran on Sunday, your coaches report was late and should not have been considered at all. Tell your coach he/she is a dumb a$$!

If your coach submitted them this morning, they are invalid results. The NAIA rulebook specifically states that:

1. Race reports must be entered every time a team runs to be considered for the rankings.

2. They must be submitted within 24 hours of the race.

So if your coach did submit them this morning he/she screwed up and needs to know the rules. What team do you run for anyway, all this complaining but no one knows who you are talking about! You and your coach need to figure it out, its not rocket science!

Win your region, go to nationals. End of discussion. NAIA has a crap system but everyone in it knows it's a crap system. I used to run in NAIA...if you don't like the qualifying system, just wait till next year. I swear they change it like the wind.

The problem with NAIA is that there are really really good regions and really really bad regions. There are really really good conferences and really realy bad conferences. You could have a region or conference where half the teams should go to nationals and have an entire region of the country where no team should go. That's just how it is in NAIA. Coaches move, schools disappear (Life, VIC, etc)...that's just how it is. If you want to qualify in NAIA....just be first.
