The City of Irvine is opening up the trails in Bommer Canyon and Shady Oaks on October 20th for their once a month open access day. They will provide maps of the trails and even give you water. There is no fee - not even for parking - to take part.
The park borders Laguna Wilderness Area and James Dilley Reserve so you can go in there and get a really long run in without going on the same trail twice.
Bommer Canyon will be open from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm on October 20th.
This public service announcement has been brought to you by the good people of The OC.
