Good for you for turning your life around. Some find Jesus to do that, others decide it's just time to grow up and be a man.

Yes, and I would do it again exactly the same. Just do your best, and don't regret irrelevant things like where you are in life or whether you've wasted too much time. You're where you are supposed to be and if you had that time over you'd probably waste it again.
dude don't let jesus take the credit for you being a better person now.
Some have a lot more in their life going on that makes it much more difficult to simply \"grow up.\"
Some are deeply rooted self esteem and anger issues.
Some have deep depression issues.
Some have a lot of other things going on.
Yes, Jesus took all of that away. Simply \"growing up\" wouldn\'t take away all the anger and pain I had.
Does your wife know you're having an affair with this Jesus character?
Dude, Jesus gets ALL the credit. I tried and tried again to change myself. I couldn\'t do it.
If any man be in Christ, he is a new creation. Behold, old things pass away, all things become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
That is exactly what happened to me. Thank you, Jesus!!!
Jesus, like Prefontaine, has been dead for a long time (much longer in Jesus case). It's a shame some idiots have to stoop to dredging up memorys of the deceased to sell shoes and/or justify their behavior.
Damn shame.
No, what's a shame is that you elitist pricks can't even let a single comment about Jesus by a grateful man slip without tearing religion to pieces. I can never stop wondering what it is with you...jealousy? Insecurity? So you aren't a "follower". Great, ignore him and move on, he's not affecting you. He's not even trying to force it on anyone (here at least).

It was a Jesus advertisement. Those of us who live according to rationality instead of magic appreciate Jesus advertisements just as much as you appreciate telemarketers at dinnertime.
If it's OK for him to advertise his superstition, it's OK for us to make fun of it. Think of it this way, if you jeebus freaks would just shut up, you wouldn't have to listen to any of our counterarguments. It's *always* the thumb suckers that start it.

We're sorry... :-(
Haha...yeah right! I'm certain if someone on here wrote about how Harry Potter entered his life and changed it, you would tear him to pieces and say he must follow Jesus instead. Or, you would just say he is crazy. Obviously, I would agree, just as I agree with the same sentiment towards idiots and their Jesus addiction.

i agree. i'm an agnostic, but as long as you don't try to shove anything down my throat or encroach on my freedom to believe what i want, whatever floats your boat and helps you to be happy is fine with me.
I'll also add that most of the "idiots" frequenting this board are already past 25-30 and still clinging to the dream they will become elites, make a boatload of cash, then get rewarded with a sweet sales rep or marketing gig at a shoe company. The reality is that they still have not busted 15:00 for 5K and are working dead end jobs for low wages in order to train for such mediocrity.
I found Jesus too! He lives in a water tower off the I-10 in El Paso. Finding him didn't change my life like it did others but he's there, and a lot of people claim that finding him changes their life.
just catch a filght to El Paso and go find him. you've really got nothing to lose.
Amazingly, thread drift occurs and this become a religious holy flame war. Shocking.
I'm 40 and still a relative idiot. The fact that I'm posting on this board is proof of that. :)
But seriously, I think one of most idiotic things you can do is to get yourself in serious debt in your 20's and 30's. I found myself about $30,000 in debt at age 37, and have paid nearly all of it off in the last 3 years while at the same time saving $30,000. That's probably the toughest and smartest thing I've ever done in my life.
Back to the holy war....
Jesus's ability to help with debt, weight loss, happiness, mile times, etc is a recent phenomenon. It's only been in very recent times (the last 50 years or so) that people have turned to Jesus as a helping buddy. A few hundred years ago people turned to Jesus in order avoid burning in hell. A thousand years ago people turned to Jesus to avoid having their head chopped of by the prince or king.
The changes in your life, which you attribute to your good buddy J.C., are most likely due to the psychological impact of religion. In otherwords, being able to believe there is a greater purpose to your life or belonging to a group (chruch) which exerts social presure to conform.

Jesus gave you bad credit?

I'm younger than that now."

Now that I'm older and sub-space is colder

Yeah I had a real revalation at about 22... but a cancer diagnonsis will do that to you.
