Ok, let's just break it down, SEC vs Pac 10.
LSU vs USC (personal opinion that USC is still top Pac 10 team)---> toss up...high powered offense and decent defense of SC vs pretty good offense and great defense of LSU
Florida vs Cal---> Florida uses its speed on both sides of the ball to pull out the win over a good Cal team
SC vs Oregon---> I think that Oregon wins in a shootout
Kentucky vs ASU---> Kentucky over an undefeated, but untested ASU team. We'll see how ASU looks after Cal, Oregon and USC in a 4 week span
Georgia/Tenn/Bama vs UCLA--->only team here that I can see UCLA possibly beating is Bama
So for the (arguably) top 5 of each conference the score is
SEC 3-1-1
Pac 10 1-3-1
Also, an interesting little note: Out of 12 SEC teams, only 4 losses have been to out of conference teams (Cal, an underrated South Florida team...ok overrated by the polls, but underrated overall, a decent Florida St team, and a good Mizz team). Out of 10 Pac 10 teams, there have been 7 losses to out of conference opponents (an overrated Wisconsin, ND, Utah, BYU, New Mexico, Ohio St, and Cincinnati).
Now, you can argue my logic about how the games above games would really go, but that's my take on it. Head to head Pac 10 is 1-0, but as far as strength of the conference top to bottom, I think you have to give the edge to the SEC. For the record, I'm born and raised in Wisconsin and am a Badger fan.
