Unless you're winning multiple state titles (and in contention for them as soph/jr) most coaches dont know who you are.
translation: fill out the damn questionnaires and send them out. You want people to know about you? Tell them who you are and what you've accomplished!

Exactly. If you want, include a personal letter saying you are interested in the school as well. Coaches focus on a very slim number of athletes when recruiting each year. If they see you are interested, they might spend some energy on recruiting you, or at least answering your questions and giving you some information on the team/school.
