Should I go for broiled, instead?

Eat your Labor Day BBQ, don't be a pussy.
I'm serious, is there anything that factually proves that grilled meat is or is not a cancer risk?
o. It's the burnt, charred meat that has been linked to cancer. Also burning fat, flareups, that can char meat that has been linked. Avoid burning your red meat, go for brown grill marks and not the char.
No, those dark spots are the meat are carbon. We are carbon based life forms...ergo grilled meat is great for you.
everything is linked to cancer. just don't eat charred meat everyday, all day and you'll be fine.
If you ingest about 10,000 pounds a year of meat grilled to extra well done, yes, but then you deserve to die for being such a bad cook.
i had some grilled chicked yesterday and this morning i woke up with cancer... so i guess it's true
No. The amount of grilled meat you would have to eat would be tremendous. The meat itself is more likely to cause cancer than the form of cooking.
Maybe he's cajun.

dude, that sucks, my sympathies go out to you. That sounds almost as bad as this friend of mine who woke up pregnant. Sure that doesn't sound too bad, but it was a guy. It all turned out pretty well though, he went on to make a movie and became the governor of california, so good luck, big things might be coming your way.

I have to agree the fat and gristle can make you tough, man. Plus the grill marks can't hurt you they are like scars and everyone knows scarface was tough.
if you marinate, then you reduce the cancer risk a lot, and marinating is good for the taste. try it with the chicken on skewers like they do in binghamton, ny.
Frying is probably much more of a problem, due to the formation of Acrylomides.
Acrylomides are carcinogenic compounds produced when oils are heated to high temperatures.
Okay, so what would be the best way to grill meat?
Charcoal, Gas, Infrared?
Do we just make sure it is not too done?
Would it be good to cook inside of aluminum foil?
Damn it, I just bought my first grill. I am so sad.
Grilled meat is fine, don't worry about it.
If you have to use oil for cooking, use olive oil.

Yes it does. So does broiling, boiling, charring, steaming, and leaving it raw.
Everything causes cancer.
