Kipchoge is awesome and people should have been respecting Teg all along. He may not be a 12:50 guy but he is pretty young and a 13:04 guy. Ahead of Kennedy at his age, right? I'm sure Kennedy was respected (though maybe not feared).
Is everyone going to come on here and trash Mottram for being a pussy who can't get it done at the big meets or is that vitriol only reserved for Webb?

Mottram already looked shitty in the semi final.
Heads-up for the next fantasy league: if someone looks bad in a semi, get rid of them and replace them with someone who won their semifinal. Example: Gary Reed.
Kennedy progression (graduated in 93 i think)
1996 12:58,21 26

does anyone have tegs, progression?
he ran so smart in that race, it just seems he fell off the top guys around 200 then closed, then kinda lost it again with 100 then closed again!
This was Teg's best kick of his career!! Very impressive, he had a better finish than the leader, with 1K to go. Possibly under 2:24 in the last 1K!!!

Mottram now has the teeniest set of knackers on the planet. Somebody should do a gender test on him to make sure he's in the right race.
i dont think he copes well with the heat and humidity....which doesnt bode well for his chances at beijing (mottram)
From the Australian Athletics site:
It was a disappointing end for the Helsinki 2005 bronze medallist who finished in 13:56.24, numbed by the race and its outcome.
“There is obviously a problem there, don’t know what though,“ Mottram told SBS. “I haven’t been right the last couple of weeks. It’s not mental, physically there is something not right.
Mottram finished a solid and promising fourth in his heat on Thursday, run in slighter quicker circumstances but with the competitors - at that stage - purely focused on saving their best practice for the final.
As identified by coach Nic Bideau after that race, it was Mottram’s plan too.
“I don’t know what to say,” the latter said tonight. “I couldn’t go. I went to the front, which doesn’t bother me - I was happy with that.
“Usually I can wind it up, wind it up when I feel the pressure coming, but I just couldn’t go.
“I was comfortable running 66 to 67s, but then you’ve got to go 60s and it’s hard.
“But I’ll come back, we’ll be right.”

No, if your time begins with 12 or 13, you're still some kind of man. Limo, though, ought to be concerned.
Mottram got his cycle wrong

Except that Buster can get it done. World champs bronze, 2 world cup wins and comm games silver. He just had a terrible race tonight.

US distance running back on the map.
Like saying American manufracturing is back on the map when a new factory opens up that's sole purpose is to slap "Made in America" stickers on stuff pre-built overseas.
