Is this the first time that Kenyans (or former Kenyans in Lagat's case) have swept the 5k?

there were a few 70s laps in that race...crazy slow///than the last k was in like 2:24....lagat prob ran 2:23 as he was in the middle of the pack. thats like 3:35 for 1500m pace for the last k
Yeah, Webb could have led (like Mottram) somewhere in the middle of the race!!!!

Webb should have run the 5000.

Uganda is not Kenya.
Do you think Mottram will start respecting Kipchoge now?
800m now...my pick is borza
Great run by Tegenkamp, but oh, man, do I feel for him... great race, but this window of opportunity may not present itself again.... all the planets were aligned and he almost pulled it off... Great race by both, Teg and Lagat!!!

Oops missed that, only saw the last name which looked Kenyan...
man teg, great race but i bet he is gonna be thinking about this one for a while. man, if he only had a meter extra he would have won the bronze
I think with 1200m to go, Mottram get tripped and almost fell. This might be the reason he fall off as soon as 800m to go...
Teg took down some big names. This ought to pump him up for a crack at a 3k or 5k PR
Mottram should switch to Goucher's coach.
Maybe Webb and Mottram should switch coaches. Mottram needed 1500m speed to contend here, and Webb should have been in that 5000m where he would have easily medaled.
Do you think that people will start respecting Teg????

yawn...with 1200 to go? didn't dibaba almost go down yet work her way back up for the gold? now there's some balls!
Mottram already looked shitty in the semi final.
I don't think the trip-up really hurt him that much, i think he just didn't have it today for some reason which is something i didn't expect.
Great run but Lagat and Teg, Teg was so close i thought he might of had it.
no. I think they will when he break 13 minutes, not before...

Kipchoge is awesome and people should have been respecting Teg all along. He may not be a 12:50 guy but he is pretty young and a 13:04 guy. Ahead of Kennedy at his age, right? I'm sure Kennedy was respected (though maybe not feared).
