All this talk? I've only heard one or two people crazy enough to suggest that Merritt will beat Wariner in Osaka.
Neither Taylor nor Merritt will dethrone Wariner. We're talking about the current undisputed king of the 400 who has just set a personal best, gapping the competition by almost an entire second, heading into the WCs. It's a strong likelihood that Wariner will run faster in Osaka. And think how fast he could run if someone actually, you know, challenged him a little. Basically, Taylor and/or Merritt will have to challenge the WR if they want to beat Wariner in the final. And that ain't happenin.
