They look just like a heavier version of the Adidas RC. They seem to be pretty nice but to heavy to race in and to light to train in. Maybe you could wear them for the style
I have these, but I'm not great with shoe comparisons, so I'll save that for someone else. All I know is that you need to buy a larger size than usual, by at least 1/2.
From the photos and descriptions, it's seems a whole lot like the Supernova Light. 6 I'd be curious to know what the difference between those two shoes is.
just got a pair of the blue ones. They look really great. They feel very much like the original adistar comp in terms of weight and feel and they have a nice narrow fit. These are going to be a very popular shoe for adidas
Got them in 12 and fit just fine, same size as the RC.
The entire adizero line is really nice.
For the midfoot striker with a little overpronation issues you can get the adizero tempo. nice lightweight trainer with dual density forefoot.
Also, check out the adizero XT, nice lightweight trail shoe. I know that people were talking about the New Balance minimalist trail shoe on here in the past. If you liked that shoe, check out the XT.
There will also be a ClimaCool Boston coming out in the near future. This will be like the Rotterdam but without the posting in the heel. Nice lightweight trainer.
If you like the traditional adidas fit these along with the response line would be the shoes to go with. The Supernova line will go to the new last which will fit a widening America and the adistar line has already gone there. This last isn't too extremely widened though so if you've loved, particularly the adistar, in the past version or two check out the new stuff. Everything going forward for adidas is looking super impressive.
i just got a pair of these and ran 8 miles at a pretty good pace (for me at least - 6:02/mile) in them the other night. they are pretty light and quite comfortable, light enough for racing for me.
I like lightweight, slightly stable trainers and i always run my training runs at a pretty hard pace, so these are very good for me. but probably not as an everyday shoe. Will get used for shorter runs/track work/maybe races. overall, id say they have more of a trainer feel than a racer feel, but they are kinda on the line between the two.
For comaprison, My everyday shoe right now is the saucony tangent, and i absolutely love them. These are lighter/equally flexible (love the flexibility of the tangent)/ faster feeling, but of cousrse they are meant to be.
I also have a pair of adidas CC rotterdam, and these mana have a similar feel, being adidas, but are overall more comfortable to me.
Seems to me the adizero line all looks really nice.. and since they are expanding the line to trainers (adizero tempo) im hoping for a lightweight stability trainer in the line in the future.
They look to me like the Adizero LTs. Functionally anyway. Right down to the weight of the shoe.
Regarding the XT, how well can a lightweight trail shoe like this be used on the roads (in addition to trails)? I've never run in a "trail" shoe. Would it be uncomfortable or awkward because of all the stuff on the bottom?
the LT and the mana are built on the same last. the only difference between the two shoes is the mana is posted while the LT is completely neutral. the LT weights 7.4 ounces and the mana is 8.0 ounces so the weight is a bit different.
