Well in 2006 Tegenkamp ran 8:16 for 2 miles at the Pre Classic and this year he ran 8:07, which is pretty freaking huge as a good race and a big improvement. He's also PRed in the 1500m by over a second (3:34.25 @ Athens Grand Prix), so I deffinately think he's ready to roll out a fast 3000m or a 5000m race, given the right conditions and pace.
