Will Teg get a PR??? Is sub 13:00 likely? (the race does not have a history of really fast 5k's.

Teg will more than likely be top 5-6 and run 13:05 in my opinion!!!
Teg will PR in around 13:08.
That'd be tough since his PR is 13:04.
13:08 is slower than his pr
when's the race?

These Africans have huge reputations and impeccable PRs but alot of them have been below par in recent races. I wouldnt be surprised if Teg stole 4th or 5th which would be a great achievement.
Teg: 13:00
Ritz: 13:10

Since the best anyone has ever run in Lausanne is 13:01 don't count on Teg getting a PR there.
Yes, history says that Teg will probably be in the low 13's and that if anyone breaks 13, it will probably only be the winner or so. I say Teg at 13:05 and barely off of his PR.
Teg gets 4th in 13:00.45 (fastest race in Lausanne history)
Just checked out the weather forecast and it likes like alot of rain over the next 2-3 days in Lausanne. The temps will be only in the 60's, but very humid and possibly heavy rains. Possibly slow times. Teg 13:12 for 6th in a slow paced race.
Ritz beats Teg. I know, I know.....I'm going out on a limb here.
Ritz 13:05.8, Teg 13:07.3. Ritz get ahead near the 2 mile mark and finishes with a huge PR, while Teg fades in the middle and closes hard to run his second-fastest time ever.
well seeing as how ritz seems to run fast in all the races that don't matter lately you might be right but i doubt he will beat tegenkamp. teg is on fire right now with his 334 and 807. there aren't a lot of other guys in the field who have run that or have the ability to. teg will be top 3 no doubt about it.

Sweet i didn't know Mohamed Ali was a runner, kinda dumb but made me laugh
besides that:
The rabbits r prob gonna do a bad job at pacing, and with Teg's new confidence and trying to be like Mottram as the next white hope he is going to go with them because he feels he is in 12:55 shape. He is going to pay for his fast early pacing and end up running 13:06. Ritz on the other hand wants to use his strength so he is going to start off at the back of the pack and pick off guys as the race goes on and run around 13:15 which is very nice race for him. The winner will run arond 12:56
Just my thoughts.
Teg runs 13:01.2 and is 3rd. Not bad considering the less than ideal conditions (track may be under water)
Teg 13:20 Ritz 13:26
If Teg does not break 13:20, I will eat my shoe!!!!!
The time for Teg and Ritz will depend on the weather and the field. I say the fastest Teg can run under ideal conditions is 12:58; the fastest Ritz can run under ideal conditions is 13:12.
