sounds like someone is angey. are you angey sizzle?
so, because the shoe corporations favor a 'good' athlete, thats an excuse not to run fast.
Well, last time I checked, the collegiate athletes aren't paid much, yet they still run faster than nearly every single brit, new ziggy, and aussie.
? sounds like an excuse to pussy out to me.
unless of course you have a different take.
Sizzling, if any thing, ILP. Getting "angey" at people of your ilk would be a waste of my time and yours. Instead I choose to educate you.
Shoe contracts were one point I made. If you had made it through my post you would have read the other two key points; Resources and poplulation.
Resources:
The resources available to college athletes as far as training partners, facilities and travel expenses are fantastic! While they do not recieve cash, they have EVERYTHING covered. this is one of the great things about the system, and probably why many Kiwis and Aussies go over on scholarship. It is the closest thing many runners will come to becoming a "pro".
Population:
i love peeps, i love peeps, dear oh dear. You mention
that collegate depth is far superior to depth in NZ or Aust. Are you suprised? If you read the above paragraph this may provide you with reasons for this.
However, the most obvious reason of all is the overwhelming population difference!! USA had a population of 300 Million. NZ has a population of 4 million! Australia has a population about ~20 milltion, and while, as a kiwi it pains me to admit it, AUS perform extraordinarily well on the world stage (all sports).
While this is a simplistic interpretation, made for the less receptive audience of i love peeps and the like, based on poulation alone, the USA should have 12 times the depth of both NZ and Australia combined, and this doesn't even get started on the "Resources" section that I outlined for you ILP!
My question to ilp is this: Does the US boast the afformentioned depth?
