Felnagle blows away Lambie over last 400. 4:09.93...well done.

Lambie ran her out into lane 2 with 350m to go, and Felnagle just blew her away over the last 150.
Well... she blew her away from 250 to 100m to go. Nobody was going to touch her in the home straight.
I would have touched her
Good job Brie! And a PR too!
In a men's race could someone run someone else out to lane 2? I wouldn't think so and would be surprised if I was ran out like that. Unless of course it was Dixon and I. He could run me off the track.
Yeah, I was thinking she would have gone a second or two faster if she hadn't spent so much time having to run wide in lane 2.
By the way, her time breaks the UNC's school record formerly held by Shalane Flanagan, and Brie's only a sophomore.
I was really cheering for Lambie to win...but she ran like an idiot! 2004 Webb style
What happened to Bowman? 4:25... Just a bad day?
I agree, no one was going to catch Brie in the final 100M. She's very good. Anyone know if she will run USATF Champs in 2 weeks?

Lambie's move did seem rather unsportsmanlike, but perhaps it was inadvertent. In any event, there was no way that Felnagle was going to lose. Great race by Brie, and it was encouraging to see her dip under 4:10.
Felnagle is simply talented. Her stride reminds me of Mary Decker.

Very impressive run. How many men or women set prs in championship 1500m races?? Outstanding effort... should be interesting to see how she does at USATFs.
AS I remember last year the homeys on this board were making fun of Brie for her off the field activities and treating her like PARIS HILTON. SHE was actually pretty sick and ran very little. What a comeback
!
Yeah, it did appear for a while that she might be heading down the path of some other promising (and very attractive) runners who chose partying over running once they got into college. But she's turned out to be a great competitor.

Oh yes, because her off the field activities are just SO classy...

I've been watching Lambie do that ALL season long.
Nothing new there. Props to Felnagle. She was clearly the stronger runner.
Felnagle has made a huge jump this season
