it seems all they have left is their TJ guy. what are your predictions for him?

I can't believe I would ever see the day the Hogs would not finish in the top 10 let alone not score a point. That program has lost it glamor and will fade into history. It's kinda sad to see it end.
Not even 1 point on the men's side. Wow, that is amazing. What happened?
Dudes I don't know but it does seem like their guys don't compete as hard as they used to.
They got 3 points thanks to
Nkosinza Balumbu finishing 6th in the last event the men's triple jump.
its so wierd, because its not like all their guys graduated. Boit is there...he has scored before...j-mee samuels should be good...perkin has a 3:37 or 3:38 to his name
They are paying the price for the Tyson Gay situation; reduced scholarships, no JUCOs, probation...
they weren't on the podium once this year. maybe ncaa's cross next year.
i heard a bunch of the guys got mono this year, like..a bunch 5-6 guys. so maybe that had something. i just see them using this as a motivational tool to win some next year.
i heard they are cutting their track program now.
Boit is not there anymore. Kosgei is there but did not run well this season. They had injuries and illness, but this fading away stuff is crap. They'll be back next year.

THey might be losing scholorships for having one of the worst team gpa's in the country under that new rule. Not sure when that will come into effect of if Ark has gotten that problem under control.

You are wrong. The NCAA implemented the new academic rules for programs like Arkansas. Use people's eligibility and they sweep them out the door.
Arkansas had over a 3.0 GPA for the past couple of years. The NCAA stuff is BS b/c it looks at someone who flunks out the same as someone who goes pro, transfers, quits the team etc.
one of the worst GPA's in the country? "get that problem under control"?
Three years ago they had THE BEST GPA in the country for men's track and field. Don't act as if this is a recurring problem. I'm not sure if you have your facts straight or not and I'm guessing that you're mistaking APR (i think it's academic progress rating or something like that) with GPA.
I would say that it was a sad year for the hogs but the hogs aren't known for giving up when things look bleak. Usually they get it done before the NCAA meet is over. Unfortunately they'll have to wait for next year now but the talent is there and I would expect to see them break out and run very well next year. Watch out for their DMR next year as they'll have the choice of the McClary twins, Daniel Lacava, a healthy Chris Barnicle hopefully, Colin Costello, and throw in a 400 guy (I believe they had a decent guy this year, not great but he won't lose more than a second or two on his leg). McDonnell hates losing probably more than anyone you'll ever meet and he'll have those guys ready. I imagine many of those guys will be putting in solid summers to put things right.
over. done. sa la ve.

Ok go post crap elsewhere. the best gpa in the country? what kind of crack are you on. Why do you think they have such a poor graduation rate? You think any school with the best GPA in the country can have one of hte lowest APRs?

J-Mee Samuels has the talent to make a strong showing next season. I'm not sure what happened his freshman year or this year, but that kid was a beast in high school. He did run a 10.2x in the semi's, so he doesn't have far to go to get back to form.
Ark is known for treating their track athletes like a top football program does their athletes. They basically cheat to get good grades. Hell how do you think Gay ever passed a class? We already know he's a cheater.
How about you read the facts before posting such BS

Once again the APR doesn't mean anything. For example say there are two 4.0 students and one decides to transfer before graduating and one decides to quit and focus on their thesis project. Both of them would be counted as FAILURES BY THE NCAA and would count against a teams APR. AGAIN THE SYSTEM IS BS FOR ALL SCHOOLS/SPORTS!!
