I didn't qualify for State in the 1600m or 3200m. I have vowed that my senior year is going to be the 'best it can be'. I am starting this week with 50 miles of easy running, gradually increasing to 80 by August. I will mix in one fairly hard 10 miler a week and one fartlek workout with various distance intervals used during that 10 miler, starting the last week in June.
I want NO excuses about being undertrained and underachieving when my senior year is over next year. If I can improve enough, (sub 4:25 and sub 9:45), I would like to run in college. Wish me luck and join me in making next season your best season ever!
