Early predictions for what looks to be an exciting 2007 A-10 championship in Philly.
To start off with, if you score out the race without seniors, this is what happems:
UMASS - 66 (5,11,12,15,23)
Richmond - 72 (4,6,8,18,36)
La Salle - 80 (7,10,13,22,28)
Duquesne - 86 (1,9,14,25,37)
Charlotte - 98 (3,16,17,27,35)
(Stopped doing the math for guys finishing after 27 minutes, no other team came else close...)
Obviously you can't base predictions off of this, especially because certain teams (cough Charlotte cough) only loses one guy, yet every kid minus dentamo bombed after going out sub 4:30. In fact, Charlotte looks good, especially with signee Dakota Lowery (4:14, 9:21..13th Footlocker South with 15:24)
Charlotte should be better, La Salle will pick some people up, they always do. UMASS and Richmond are both interesting seeing as neither team loses a single member. Richmond'd problem? They lack a fifth. If they can get one more key guy, they can be very dangerous. I don't really see Duquesne doing much damage. They'll finish top 5, but not top 3.

1. Charlotte
2. UMASS
3. Richmond
4. La Salle
5. Duquesne
