Hall's little bro doubles in 4:09 and 9:03

Hall went out really fast in the 1600. I guess he was trying to see what he could do. He went out something like 30 and was way ahead of the pack for the first 200 then about 61 for the first 400. I forget his his 800 time maybe around 2:03-2:04. With about 500 to go he started to pick it up and had a huge lead. In the last 100 he started to tighten up. Andrews, the guy from Royal, ran a very smart race and ran Hall down at the very end.

In the 3200, Hall went off on his own again. He went about 66 the first lap and the pack was way behind him. Cybulski I think has been injured all year. I think his best time this year was at CIF sections 9:19, which I thought if he ran at this meet he wouldn't qualify for state. I liked watching how he ran the last two years and was hoping he'd make it to state but I wondered if he had been healthy long enough to get in qualify training to make it. Anyway, I watch Cylbulski and he was in the front end of the pack for the first mile but other guys looked stronger. Hall went through the 1600 in 4:26 and it looked like he was going to run away with it.

Then Hall started hitting 70 second laps. It looked like the far straight away had a good headwind because he would change his form just a little on that stretch. All of the sudden Cybulski made a big move from the pack and was chasing Hall down. With a lap to go Cybulski made another strong move and caught and just passed Hall. But Hall hung in there and with 200 to go put in a very solid kick. Cybulski tightened up but once he saw one of the guys from Sierra coming after him he accelerated a little bit the last 15 yards to stick in 2nd place. The Sierra guy ran a reallly really fast last lap.

With another week of training Cybulski might be a little more fit. It will be a heck of a state finals. It looked like if someone helped Hall with the wind he could have gone faster.

This meet is going to be shown in Southern California on Prime Ticket at 7:00. Three hours of coverage.

Did Jordan Hasay run in the 1600m or 3200m for the girls?

Primm is a stud in the 800m. Where is he going to college? Do you think he is a potential 1:46 guy in college or is he reaching his peak fast, even in high school? (even if he only improves to 1:49 or 1:48 in college, that is still plenty good enough to be a competitive collegian).

she (her team) wouldn't compete in this meet. She is outside of the L.A./so. cal area; but should be at State next week; though I haven't really seen much on her or heard any good results all spring?

Primm went out in about 51. It would have been interesting to see what he could have done if he had someone to help push him along and do some of the work up front. He was tightening up badly the last 20-30 meters though so who knows.

He came back and ran a very solid leg in the 4 x 400. I don't know his split but he was flying.

Those who know Primm know he should be a miler. Hopefully UCLA will figure this out. He could run 4:05 right now and sub 4 as a Freshman Bruin.

You're an idiot. For starters, you are at least two years too late with your Peterson bashing.

Nobody expected the UCLA men's team to qualify for D1 cross-country at the start of the season, but they did. Even then, the inevitable "haters" predicted a 30th-place for the Bruin men, but they finished 23rd.

The 2007 squad is bringing back all of their top five runners from the NCAA championships, along with the return of Austin Ramos and blue-chip recruit Michael Cybulski.

That being said, I'm sure that you will still find some way to childishly bash Peterson even after his men's team places in the top ten this November!

well they better with all the california recruits they are getting. anything less then top 15 is underachieving

WOW! 23rd! Excuse me, he is a outstanding coach. Maybe next year Laef Barnes will run as well as he did under Pat Tyson in High School.

Leading nation in 3200/2 mile and second in nation 1600/mile.

Primm is going to ucla, and just to let you know, i have been watching primm for awhile now, and he is a beast. he put down a 1.49 at Arcadia, and not only will he be a 1.46 guy, I wouldnt be suprised if he goes 1.44. He runs with unparalleled passion and drive, and simply will not lose. out of all the runners in the nation, I would say that he is the best top to bottom. better then Hall, better the Cybulski, and though they are hard to compare better then Nellum. He also can run a 46.6 in the 400, so yeah he flies

What's up with all the Hater-ade that you're drinkin? Like the other dude said, most folks expected the Bruin boys wouldn't even be there at all.

Didn't UTEP have a great team last season, and they didn't even make it to NCAAs? Now THERE is a outstanding coach!!
