I have heard from many people that Georgetown's track program has a history of dicking recruits over and telling them they are interested and than dropping them at the last second. Does anyone know if it was the old coach who would do this or if it was Henner?Anyone want to confirm about 4 stories in the last few years about kids being told they are going to be accepted to being forgotten about.
It's clear you have no idea what you are talking about.
First off, the "old coach" is Frank Gagliano, one of the best known coaches in US track and field.
Second, did you actually hear this from "many" people, or is it really that you know one person (or perhaps it's yourself) who wanted to go to Georgetown, was running decently enough to have Georgetown in his sights as a junior in HS and then he/you ran miserably his/your senior year and like most coaches would, Henner and/or Gags decided you weren't worth the 150k it would have cost in scholarship to put him/you through Gtown and then he/you were wished good luck.
