Lancashire ran 1:45 last year. Kid should be a beast 800m-1500m.

Zach Glavash
so it seems like these are the candidates...
Tim Bayley
Zach Glavash
Lopez Lomong
Ryan Brown
Dominic Tanui
Shaun Smith
Prince Mumba
Andrew Ellerton
Duane Solomon
Elias Koech
Thomas Chamney
I think Lomong has the strength to still be peaking in July if he wanted to, however the Oral Roberts guys are usually pretty damn strong and fast. But I still think I'm going to have to go with the same top 4 and then...
1. Ryan Brown
2. Shaun Smith
3. Andrew Ellerton
4. Dominic Tanui
5. Duane Solomon
6. Prince Mumba
7. Thomas Chamney
8. Elias Koech
9. Zach Glavash
I don't think Lomong will run the 800 at NCAA's, but if he does, I would put him finishing in the top 3, but only because I think he will also be competing in the 1500. If he does only the 800, top 2 finish.
Alysia Johnson. Again.
What about the LSU boys...Jamaal James ran 1:47.00 and the other guy went 1:47.1 at SEC's
never been to ncaa's i take it. peaked too early. maybe next year.

If I recall right, Jamaal James was 5th at indoor nationals...maybe he didn't peak too early

Even though he apparently doesn't want to win, I'll go with Ryan Brown.
1:46 high
1:47 low
Brown, Solomon, and Emmen clearly have the most talent in the field, and I'd say that they, along with a some post-collegians (Miller, Ramirez, Burley, Symmonds, Smith) are the next group of solid middle distance U.S. middle distance runners. Only Brown and Solomon appear to be ready at this point to win NCAA's. Emmen's progression the last couple of months doesn't indicate that he's ready to pop a 1:46 high to win or a 1:47 low to place. If he stays healthy, he should be running in that range closer to U.S. Nats. I'm sure I've overlooked some other up-and-comers, but you get the idea. That said, I say to all young mid distance guys and gals, GET MORE HUNGRY. THERE ARE 18, 19 and 20-YEAR 0LDS OVERSEAS RUNNING 1:45's and 1:59's consistenly!
KURT HEIMANN
i think brown has the most talent. he only started running the 800 his junior year of high school, and then after trying it for one season at WU, quit, but then came back to the team, and look at all he has won. he deffinately some talent, and hopefully will learn how to get the most out of it in the years to come.
Ryan Brown, hands down, he's already won one, he knows what it takes and has the race repertoire to back it up
Lomong would win if he were running it but since he is not I would imagine that Brown wins by default.
if lomong doesnt win then one of the guys from LSU or Golden Coachmen will win
Ryan Brown will be ready to respond to any move on the first lap, and he has shown COUNTLESS times he cannot be outkicked. Brown FTW, time, who cares.
hmmm, looks like a strong field this year though, i think he'll be challenged more this year than ever.
