I was going to register for an italian road race, but it said participants need a health certificate according to "D.M. 18/02/82 28/02/83"
Anyone know what this is, how I can get one, and whether you can get it outside Italy?

Bump.
Anyone?
Hey, i know Joop, met him a few years ago in the VIP tent at Ventoux TDF finish line. Then saw him again last year at Alpe d'Huez. He's got to be over 60 now. Don't think he's much of a runner.
He'd not be happy you stole his name.
It sounds like you've met Joop rather than know him. Nevertheless, that's cool you have met one of the greats.
Anyway, do you know anything about health certificates being required for racing?
I had the same thing for Paris Marathon
also Paris Half Marathon
they accepted a certificate from my US doctor
I examined x on xx May 2007 and determine that he is fit to compete in endurance events.
I think the Paris marathon has the same guideline
Thanks for the reply.
If I understand you correctly, no official form need be submitted, just a dated doctor's note saying you're fit to compete?
That is correct - I drafted a word document with this information and the doctor signed and it worked out OK
