I know I'm probably beating a dead horse here, but it just seems to be getting downright rediculous how much people are lying on their times these days. The last 3 invites I've been to I enter at my PR, and I'll be about the slowest or 2nd to 3rd slowest in my heat, but I end up winning by anywhere from 50-20 meters. Especially those canadian teams *cough* SFU *cough*... I don't know I'm trying to be a whiner, but it's getting pretty damn hard to make my times to get into nationals when this crap keeps happening, especially with the season winding down and I need to chop a few seconds off my PR.
I just think in this day and age where virtually every race result is placed on the internet -- you'd think that all these big meets could just require you to ratify your results. It wouldn't be that hard, just send a link in with the time, it'd be an easy check, and eliminate all this bs once and for all and maybe get some quality heats in.
Am I out of line or am I preaching to the choir here?
