What would the Pro's & Con's be for the U.S.A. if we were to just say screw it & have Mexico become a part of the U.S.?
This is a serious question.

why not ...
we annexed texas (used to be owned by mexico)
mexico is not that much bigger
Mexico should become a new part of the Disney World complex. The streets would be clean, the people would all have jobs and Mickey already speaks Spanish. Plus Disney would build a fence around the park and thereby eliminating the need for the US to build one on it's southern border.
I think the immediate impact would be that government costs for Health & Human Services would go through the roof with very little tax revenue in return. The deficit would be so huge that our entire economy would collapse.
Although, I'm not an economist, so this is really just pure speculation.
then we wouldn't have to be dependent on the middle east for oil...
iran and venezuela would buckle

LMAO :)
the only requirment i would suggest
is that we castrate all the men
Think of all the money we would save on "Border Control". Granted it would probably still be used for Law Enforcement. You also have to figure that recruitment for the Military would be no problem.

How would that be much different than the U.S. right now?
USA has a GDP of around 12 trillion, Mexico's is about 1 trillion. For this to work Mexico would have to become a "sovereign territory" of the US...similar to the way the US took over land west of the original 13 colonies. Mexico Territory would have it's own functional government, like a state, but would have limited access to federal funds until the infrastructure is built up.

You've never visited Mexico City have you?
Have you ever been to any of the non-tourist Mexican towns?
The answer is pretty obvious.
one puerto rico is enough..
Why would Mexicans want that? They have a long and proud culture of their own. Don't confuse people's desire to improve their situations economically with some sort of admiration for American culture...whatever that is.

I know it's worse there. I was just being sarcastic. I have been to Mexico once to a small, very poor border town. Have you ever been to some towns in Texas and other bordering states?
All those inexpensive all-inclusive hotels would go away. You can't have affordable all-inclusive with a minimum wage.
& to make this running related, just how much would this improve the U.S's depth in athletics?

Honey, stay in school and study real hard or find a good husband.U.S. "poverty" is a step up for the average Mexican
