So I had a race 2 days ago (1600,800,4x4) and a 60 m run yesterday. Today, I had the following workout.
500m in 68 (i got excited), 45 sec rest, 300m in 45 seconds.
15 min jog.
500m in 75, 45 sec rest, 300m in 44 sec.
It was a very tough workout.
Last year I was around 158, but this year i feel much stronger. My best times this year (senior in HS) are around high 51 for the 4, and mid 430s.
I am hoping to peak in a month or so for state, and I have just begun to put on speed work to improve my anarobic fitness after a base of xc and winter training.
Does 1:55 look like it is in the cards later this year?
