Word on the street is that Irv Ray will be named the new head coach at UC Riverside.
Does anyone know what kind of program they have and are there any thoughts about how he will do there. Also who is in the conference?

What do you bet Hall ends up there next season?
Even if God himself were coaching there, it's still Riverside.
UC RIVERSIDE IS A JUCO
In what way?
Actually, other than the facts that it is hellishly hot in the Summer and the Fall, and all of the smog from LA blows east into Riverside, it is a nice campus and a good school.
Riverside is a great school. This is just what thier team needs to improve.

That's what they were saying in KC last summer....
We'll see.
UC Riverside - no scholarships, the guys have some guys they can build a program around, but the girls team is a disaster.
I hearad they havae 8 to 10 scholarships for the men and around 12 or so for the women. with that I would think he could build something.
Did they get their scholarship money back for track? I know the last couple seasons they had their scholarship funds cut by their athletic director?
Riverside has a rather young team and a bunch of guys with a ton of potential to actually be pretty competitive.
It should be interesting.I hope he does well.
Exactly. From what I understand, he hasn't left UMKC in the best of shape.

No friggin way...Riverside ain't no JUCO and has turned out some decent athletes...with Irv at the helm, all I can say is watch out...this man knows his s%#t
Actually, from what I've heard, Hall was ready to bolt and go back to running for Irv, but Mrs. Hall had the final say.
A point brought up in earlier post, did UCr get their scholarships back? Last I heard, they had none. Still, a lot of potential there if it works out.
Ray's officially in...
