When I try to open pdf files in explorer the page freezes up. I can open from my hard drive, but on the web the files freeze and don't open. Is there a way to change my settings to fix this?

bump, help please....
One thing to try...it is possible that a pop-up message came up on Adobe, and if you hit alt-tab and cycle around to the Adobe application maybe it will take you to the message?
Try compressing the PDF files.
Alt tab didn't seem to work, the file froze up.
how would i compress?
use firefox. download it free from firefox.com. it\'s public domain, which means the source code has been audited and fixed by one hundred thousand middle school-aged computer geeks all over the world. internet explorer if closed and proprietary code from microslop and is full of security holes and bugs as you have found the hard way.
Savvy, mine likes to pull crap like that when it's trying to "auto update" itself. Sometimes there's an indication that this is happening, other times not. It may be updating itself in the background, and so you think it's frozen. You could turn off auto updates and see if this fixes the problem.
Hmm.... It is still not working. Anyone else have suggestions?
file is too big. be patient or it is corrupted. move to greener pastures.
