has anyone had this or have experience with this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I advise against scratching the affected area. Also, no relations for 3-4 weeks, or until the swelling subsides.
Thanks, but this is a pain...not an itch....it's hard to walk sometimes. Has anyone had this? How long does it take to heal?
I think there tends to be a lot of variance between people and healing time. Also it's not uncommon for you to have reoccuring pain because it may not heal properly. Some people do have the sesmoid removed.
I have broken of my sesamoids in my right foot....they are gone. Start taking Calcium no more then 500 MG at a time twice a day...and get a high end pair of trainers thay have good forefoot cushioning...also your days of racing in spikes might be gone
try getting an orthotic that takes the pressure off that part of the foot. has been effective for me for 4 years.
I've already got a custon orthotic....but maybe I should get it adjusted...also are there any recommended forms of therapy? Thank yall so much for the responses....fortunately I caught this really early...it started bothering me two days ago on some slanted, rocky trails.
bump....has anyone had a short bout of this...where it goes away quickly?
I had a short bout of it -- total time was about two weeks -- I also caught it early and thought I was dealing with pf. Taping the foot the same way you would pf helped me. Also icing and no fast stuff or even strides. Pretty much all the standard precautions.
