3 MacQuitty, Philip FR Palo Alto 8:44.49
Damn, Coach Jones of Palo Alto High School has a good freshman. Guess he cannot retire for another four years!
lots of the results aren't showing up. Uploading behind?
its more like h-o-w-l, but that was funny!
That 10000m is stacked. Hopefully they hit a fast pace early and can get some decent times.
Anyone know why there's so many 800/1500 runners in the 5000? There's guys like Lancashire, Brannen, Jennings... is it normal for guys like that to run an early season 5000?
samiam--are you Gary R. from Escondido, CA?
Thanks Coach D!

A certain instigator; shall we call her Lisa S? No, that's too obvious -- L. Simpson..."
looks like the flocasts guys r doing too...
Actually, MacQuitty's coach is my nephew, Jeff Billing, asst coach in charge of distance runners at Paly High. Jeff's a great story himself. He moved from eastern Connecticut to Silicon Valley 5 yrs ago with a masters degree from MIT, a signing bonus from Oracle, and a darn impressive first-year salary. He stayed at Oracle for two years, then took a 50 percent pay cut to teach math at Paly and coach xc and track. Jeff's the opposite of anyone's MIT nerd stereotype; he's a totally cool, energetic, outgoing kid who must be an incredible h.s. math teacher and is definitely a great coach. We've spent many long hours discussing all the most-famous training approaches and philosophies, but Jeff's major coaching attribute is his passion for the sport and for life in general. He was a midteam runner at MIT, and now coaches young athletes who are far faster than he. Nothing could excite him more. No one can say how good MacQuitty and similarly fast young runners might become, but MacQuitty's lucky to have Jeff as a coach, I can assure you of that.
When are the fast guys running the 10k/5k?
WTF

Thanks for info. Has Paul Jones retired, or he he still head coach and Jeff is DR's coach?
Why the hell does the Stanford Live Results page hardly have any of the results up from yesterday?
Still nothing...
Everything up to Boys 3000 comes up except for Women 800 meter run "B" sections. Other results won't come up...
Interesting...I'm able to get them and some of today's too.
If you tried to view the results before they were posted and now go back to see if they are available you will have to hit refresh. Right click on the right side of the window (where the results will appear) and hit refresh.
That should solve you issue.

Just saw coach Jones at the meet with a Palo Alto sweatshirt on, so I assume he's still there.
